What is Fishing Sim World?
Fishing Sim World is the latest simulation in the Dovetail Games catalog. It is the most authentic fishing simulator ever made, taking you on an angling journey across Bass, Carp and Predator fishing.
What do I need to play Fishing Sim World?
Fishing Sim World will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Where do I purchase and download Fishing Sim World?
PlayStation 4: The game will be available to purchase and download by searching ‘Fishing Sim World’ through the Store via your PlayStation 4 console.
Xbox One: The game will be available to purchase and download by searching ‘Fishing Sim World’ through the Store via your Xbox One console.
PC: Fishing Sim World will be available to purchase and download via Steam and the Dovetail Store (Dovetail Store purchases will provide you with a key to redeem on Steam).
Will there be a boxed version of Fishing Sim World?
Yes, there will be a boxed version of Fishing Sim World available at most major video game retailers.
Does Fishing Sim World support multiple monitors?
Fishing Sim World is not supported on multiple monitors on any format.
Can I play Fishing Sim world on my laptop?
While some laptops will play Fishing Sim World, performance may be negatively impacted, please note that laptop chipsets are not officially supported. Please see minimum specifications above.
Is there an SDK (Software Development Kit) included with Fishing Sim World?
Unfortunately, Fishing Sim World does not include an SDK or modding support at this time, however we hope to bring this to you as soon as possible.
What regions can Fishing Sim World be purchased in?
Fishing Sim World is currently available to purchase in North America and Europe as well as Australia and New Zealand.
What is the PEGI/ESRB/USK rating for Fishing Sim World?
Fishing Sim World is rated PEGI – 3 (PEGI – 4 in Portugal), ESRB – E (Everyone) and USK – Approved without age restriction.
What languages is Fishing Sim World available in?
Fishing Sim world currently supports English (EN), German (DE), French (FR), Russian (RU), Polish (PL), Mexican/Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese.
Do I need an internet connection to play Fishing Sim World?
An internet connection is required to initially purchase and download digital copies of the game. Once the download is complete, no further internet connection is required to experience Fishing Sim World single player, unless you are looking to try your hand at our Multiplayer or Live Tournament game modes, in which case one is required.
What control devices will I be able to use with Fishing Sim world?

What is included in Fishing Sim World?
Fishing Sim World currently features seven beautiful locations for you to enjoy as well as a tackle shop packed with a variety of fishing accessories, which can be purchased using the in game currency – tackle points. Tackle points can be earnt across all of the available game modes.
I’m new to Fishing Sim World, where can I go to learn how to fish?
There are seven tutorials that can help you with the basics of Bass, Predator and Carp fishing.
Will there be DLC for Fishing Sim World?
We don’t have anything to announce on that – right now it’s all about Fishing Sim World!
Can I change the gameplay settings during a fishing session?
At the beginning of a fishing session you will be able to select a tacklebox, time of day and weather settings. Once you are in the session you will be able to change your tacklebox but not the time of day or the weather.
What are the differences between the PC and console versions of Fishing Sim World?
We are currently striving to ensure that the experiences on both platforms are as similar as possible. Currently, the biggest difference is that multiplayer supports four players on console but supports eight on PC. Any updates will be released across all platforms though dates of availability may vary.
I own Fishing Sim World on PC, can I use my save data on the console versions?
Unfortunately, game data cannot be carried across both platforms. All save data on the PC version and all save data on the consoles are completely separate. If you own Fishing Sim World on PC and purchase it on console (or vice-versa), no character save data or progress will carry over.
I own Fishing Sim World on PC and my friend owns it on console, are we able to play Multiplayer together?
Unfortunately, Fishing Sim World does not support cross-platform play.
I’m having problems with Fishing Sim World but the Knowledgebase doesn’t cover my issue, who can I contact?

What is the Dovetail Fishing League?
The Dovetail Fishing League is a series of online tournaments that are regularly updated and allow you to compete against players around the world.
How does the Dovetail Fishing League work?
You will be able to enter a selection of tournaments comprised of several events ran on a weekly basis. Each week you will be able to enter one new event, per tournament, and the previous week's event will be concluded.
How many attempts do I get per event in the Dovetail Fishing League?
If the event is based at a lake you own, then you will get 3 attempts. However, if you do not own the lake, you will only get 1 attempt. The remaining attempts will be reset each week, when a new event becomes available.
