Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass is a subscription service that allows you to download and play games from an ever-changing catalogue of first-party and third-party titles. However, you will only be able to play these so long as you have an active subscription.
Most games will enter Xbox Game Pass for a limited 12-month period. After this time, the game will leave the service, and you will need to purchase the game if you wish to continue playing.
Notice will be given at least 2 weeks before a game leaves Xbox Game Pass, during which time it is possible to purchase the game at a discounted price. This information is widely available on our own social channels and the official Xbox Wire Game Pass Archives.
