How to Download a Game

  1. From the home screen, select Game Library > Your Collection.
  2. Now select the game you wish to download.
  3. Select the PS5 version to download the best version of the game for your console.
  4. Now select Download > Select All > Install, to download all the add-ons you are entitled to.
  5. To view the progress of your download, press the PlayStation button and navigate to Downloads/Uploads.
  6. Before you start the game, please complete any active downloads.



How to Download an Add-on

  1. From the Home Screen, highlight your game.
  2. Press the Options button on your controller.
  3. Then select Manage Game Content.
  4. Select the Install icon next to the add-on you wish to install.


Alternatively...

  1. Go to Games home > Game Library.
  2. Scroll to the Your Collection tab.
  3. To find game add-ons, select the game hub and scroll to the Add-ons section.
Typically, the PS5 will try to download both the PS4 & PS5 versions of an add-on, if available. To cancel the version you don't need, please check the downloads queue.



How to Cancel a Download In Progress

  1. From the home screen, press the PlayStation button on your controller to bring up the "Control Center".
  2. Select Download/Uploads.
  3. Select the download.
  4. Highlight the download you want to cancel and press Options > Cancel and Delete.

How To Delete an Add-on

  1. From the Home Screen, highlight your game.
  2. Press the Options button on your controller.
  3. Then select Manage Game Content.
  4. Select the Delete icon next to the add-on you wish to remove.

How to restore licences on PS5 consoles

Restoring licences can be helpful if you can't locate a game or add-on, or a game has a padlock icon on it.

  1. Go to Settings > Users and Accounts > Other > Restore Licences.
  2. Select the licences that you want to restore.


How to enable PS5 Console Sharing and Offline Play

Console Sharing and Offline Play is automatically enabled on the PS5® console you've used to sign in to PlayStation™Network for the first time. To enable Console Sharing and Offline Play on a new PS5 console, follow these steps.

  1. Go to Settings > Users and Accounts > Other > Console Sharing and Offline Play
  2. Select Enable


How to Rebuild the PS5 Database and Clear the Cache

If the above options have not helped you resolve a problem, rebuilding the PS5 database and clear the cache can help. To do this, you will need to restart your console in safe mode, as described below.

  1. Turn off your console by holding the power button for three seconds.
  2. The power indicator blinks for a few moments before turning off.
  3. Once the console is off, press and hold the power button again.
  4. Release it after you hear the second beep — one beep sounds when you first press, and another seven seconds later.
  5. Connect the controller with the USB cable and press the PS button on the controller.
  6. Now, select Clear System Software Cache
  7. Next, select Rebuild Database
