Gameplay Questions

Will driving with Thomas and Diesel be the same as driving other trains in Train Sim World?

2-button controls have been implemented for Thomas and Diesel, to allow this Add-on to be accessible for everyone to enjoy.


Can you interact with the controls inside the cab? 

No, the cab controls inside the Thomas & Friends™ characters are non-interactive. You can drive with Thomas and Diesel using a keyboard or controller. 


Will there be any new achievements included?

Yes, there are a collection of new achievements related to Thomas & Friends™ Visit the West Somerset Railway.


Will the facial expressions change on the Thomas & Friends™ characters in Timetable/Free roam?

The facial expressions for Thomas and Friends™ characters will change during Scenario Mode gameplay to reflect the narrative. In all other modes of Train Sim World, the character’s facial expressions will not change.


Can the Thomas & Friends™ characters interact with rolling stock from other Train Sim World Add-ons?

Unfortunately, neither Thomas nor Diesel can interact with rolling stock from other Add-ons. They use a braking system that would conflict with the more prototypical braking systems found in other Train Sim World stock.

Technical Questions

Can you drive with the Thomas & Friends™ characters on other routes?

Yes, the Thomas & Friends™ characters can be driven on any route Add-on using Free Roam mode.


Can you make new designs for the Thomas & Friends™ characters in the Livery Designer?

No, the Thomas & Friends™ characters are not supported in the Livery Designer.
