- Clear your PlayStation's Cache
- Press and hold the [PS] button on your controller.
- Select Turn Off PS4.
- Wait for the console to fully power down and the lights to go out.
- Now unplug the power supply for around 30-60 seconds.
- Plug the power supply back in and power on the console.
- Rebuild the PS4 Database
- Turn off the PS4 system by pressing the power button on the front panel. The power indicator will blink for a few moments before turning off.
- Once the PS4 system is off, press and hold the power button again. Release it after you hear the second beep: one beep will sound when you first press, and another seven seconds later.
- Connect the DUALSHOCK 4 with the USB cable and press the PS button on the controller.
- Select the Rebuild Database option
- This will scan the drive and create a new database of all content on the system. This operation may take a long time depending on the type and number of data items.
- Check for Game Updates
- Highlight the game you were playing and press the Options button on your controller.
- Select Check for Updates and allow all downloads to complete and install.
- Check for System Software Updates
- Select Settings from the home screen.
- Then select System Software Update.
- Allow the update to download and install. Your console may restart during the process.
- Remove and Disable PS Camera
- Unplug the PS Camera from the console
- Select Settings from the home screen.
- Go to User, Login Settings and uncheck the box next to Enable Face Recognition.
- If you have replaced the internal HDD, then please try replacing the original HDD (Please backup your saved data before doing so).
- If you have the game installed on an external HDD then try moving the game to the internal storage.
- Reinstall the Game (This step will not delete your saved data)
- From the home screen, go to [Library] and select the "Purchased" folder.
- Select the game you want to download. Select "Download" on the content screen.
- Some games will allow you to download a part of a game first, or play while you download.
- You can check the progress of your downloads in [Notifications] > [Downloads]
- Initialize your PlayStation (Please backup your saved data before doing so).
- Go to Settings, Initialisation and select Initialise PS4.
